Jeanne E. (Hastings) LeBell

ORANGE- Jeanne E. (Hastings) LeBell, 82, of Horton Road, died peacefully at home on Sunday, May 15, 2022 following an illness, surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Athol on May 5, 1940, she was the daughter of James E. and Gladys (Hobbs) Hastings and grew up in Athol, graduating from Athol High School in 1958.

On March 21, 1992, Jeanne married Charles W. LeBell and they enjoyed 30 years of marriage.

Jeanne had worked for the L. S. Starrett Company for 15 years.

She loved gardening and tag sales, especially going to Rietta’s in Hubbardston. Jeanne had also enjoyed canoeing and camping and she and Charles had gone to Baxter State Park for 10 years.

Jeanne was a member of the Jumptown Twirlers and the Leominster Photo Club.

Jeanne is survived by her loving husband, Charles LeBell of Orange; a daughter, Kathy Marble of Athol; grandchildren, Jason, Brianna and Amber; great grandchildren, Logan, Nyla, Michael and Michaela; and a brother, James Hastings of Milwaukee, WI.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a son, James Snow.

There are no calling hours.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the home of granddaughter, Brianna Davis, at 53 D Street, in Athol from 2-4 p.m.

 Interment in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon will be at a later date.
