Jeffrey W. Silva

GREENFIELD- Jeffrey W. Silva, 67, of Hope Street, died on Sunday afternoon, October 13, 2024, at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield following an illness.

Born in Greenfield on August 19, 1957, he was the son of William J. and Marilyn S. (Neverett) Silva.

Jeffrey served in the United States Coast Guard from 1974 to 1976 before his honorable discharge.

Jeffrey worked as a tree climber for J&L Tree Service, earning his nickname of “Tarzan” from moving among the tree limbs with ease.

Jeffrey will be greatly missed as we pray for his soul.

He is survived by his loving companion and life partner of 24 years, Rebecca Ryan, of Greenfield; a brother, Michael Silva, of Florida; two nephews; and many friends.

He was predeceased by both parents.

There are no calling hours or services per Jeffrey’s wishes.

It is suggested to plant a tree in his memory.
