ATHOL- Jennifer L. Riddell, 43, of Intervale Avenue, died unexpectedly early Friday morning, August 16, 2024 at home after being stricken ill, leaving her family with broken hearts.
Born in Greenfield on February 27, 1981, she was the daughter of Richard and April (Stevens) Riddell and had lived in the North Quabbin area all her life and graduated from Ralph C. Mahar Regional in 1999. She later graduated from the Rob Roy Academy where she learned hairdressing and cosmetology.
Jennifer had worked at the Rob Roy Academy and then later she went to work at Master Cuts.
An avid outdoors person, Jennifer loved horseback riding, gymkahana, caring for injured animals, raising Monarch butterflies from larva, listening to birds, fishing and walking her dog “Pearl”. She loved going to her son Joshua’s basketball games, as well as going to Maine with Nubble Light and Old Orchard Beach being destinations of interest.
Jennifer had coached T ball as well as Little League.
Survivors include her loving sons, Brenden Sisko and Joshua Lucier of Athol; her mother, April Grout of Athol; her father Richard Riddell of Athol; a brother, Scott Riddell of Easthampton; two sisters, Heather Riddell of North Carolina and Misty Riddell of Ohio; nieces, Cora Biggins and Rosylin Biggins; grandnephew Shawn Jaenson; grandniece Kimberly Jaenson; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
There are no calling hours.
A celebration of life will be held on October 5, 2024 from 1-4 p.m. at the Steel Pub, 11 Exchange Street, Athol.
