ATHOL- JoAnne Marie Buzzell passed away peacefully at Health Alliance Hospital in Leominster on May 30th 2022 at the age of 76.
She was predeceased by her sons, Michael and Matthew.
Her beautiful life will be remembered by those who were left behind.
JoAnne leaves behind two daughters, Marcee and her husband Taylor Balfour and Melanie and her husband John DaHood; five grandchildren, Joslynn , David, Correl, Taylor and Alicia along with their significant others; and also by 14 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her lifelong friend, Diane Moriarty, who is always by her side since they were very young.

Joanne was born July 25th 1945 to John and Eva Buckley in Springfield, Massachusetts. She grew up in a bordering town called Indian Orchard with her two sisters, Joyce Buckley Goodwin and her younger sister Susan Buckley Zambelli and brother Johnny who died when he was a baby
She graduated from Commerce high School in 1963.
Joanne spent years working at Quabbin Valley Nursing Home where she found many friendships in her strong will to enter her kindness and generous spirit led her to being loved by many.
JoAnne fought a long battle with lung cancer for several years along with heart problems. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Sunday, June 19th from 1:00 to 4:00 and will be located at the American Legion on Daniel Shays Highway in Orange Mass.
