ORANGE- John L. Collins, 63, of Prospect Street, died on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at home after being stricken ill.
Born in Wakefield on November 3, 1959, he was the son of William and Jane (Patch) Collins in grew up in Stoneham.
John served in the United States Marine Corps.
A truck driver, he found much enjoyment in driving the rigs.
John was a happy go lucky type of guy who enjoyed helping people and loved his grandchildren.
Survivors include his son, Garrett Collins of Dery, NH; grandchildren, Alijah Collins and Presley Collins; a brother, Mark Collins of the Philippines; sisters, Betsy Collins of Stoneham and Marcia Cochran of Vermont.
John was predeceased by his parents.
There are no calling hours.
A celebration of life will be held on November 12, 2023 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Athol American Legion, corner of Pequoig Avenue and Exchange Street, Athol.
