Joyce (Ianetta) Flanigan

ERVING- Joyce (Ianetta) Flanigan, 77, of State Road, died Friday evening, November 15, 2024 at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 28, 1947, she was the daughter of Nicholas and Florence (Masey) Ianetta and lived in Ohio until age 5 when the family moved to Florida.

Following high school, Joyce went to work for the Honeywell Corporation in Florida where she met her future husband, Joseph Flanigan, and were married in 1977.

Joyce and Joseph moved to Massachusetts and have lived in Erving since July of 1990.

Employed by the Raytheon Corporation, Joyce was an administrator and retired in 2014.

Joyce enjoyed quilting and antiquing in her younger years.

Survivors include her loving husband, Joseph Flanigan, of Erving; a son, Richard Burns of Florida; and a step daughter, Anne Flanigan, of Florida; a nephew, David Kallal; and her friend, Charlotte.

Joyce was predeceased by her father in 1950 and her mother in 1999.

There are no calling hours or services.
