ATHOL- Judith A. “Judie” (Carroll) Chamberlain, 84, of Roosevelt Avenue, passed on April 9,2024 at home with loved ones at her side.
Born in the Cochituate neighborhood of Wayland on April 4, 1940, she was the daughter of Emery H. and Lois (Treadwell) Carroll and grew up in Wayland, graduating in 1958.
In 1963, Judie married Ronald Chamberlain and they celebrated their 60th anniversary in 2023.
Always a hard worker, Judie had worked for the Visiting Nurse Association, worked 6 years as a teachers’ aide, owned her own cleaning business for years as well as working for JM Fields store.
Judie enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was a Jehovah’s Witness.
Judie is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Chamberlain of Athol; her children, Paul Chamberlain and his wife Holly of Easton and Beth Preston and her husband James of Galex, VA, Ronnie Chamberlain (deceased) and his wife Robin Chamberlain; grandchildren, Charles Chamberlain (Samantha), Paul Chamberlain Jr. (Ashley), Taylor Chamberlain, Dawn Marie Hayden (Justin) and Jackie Zizzo; great grandchildren, Jaxon Chamberlain, Sophia Chamberlain, and Ella Chamberlain; step grandchildren, Melissa Willard, Miranda Willard and Jason Howard; step great grandchildren, Ethan Willard, Eliana Willard, Elwin Donaghy, Mikey Ward, and Emily Willard; and many friends.
Besides her parents, Judie was predeceased by a brother, David Carroll, and a sister, Mary Carroll.
There are no calling hours.
A celebration of life will be held at later date and time to be announced.
