Katherine L. (Cromp) Hall Obituary

BARRE- Katherine L. (Cromp) Hall, 72, of West Street, died on Friday evening, January 7, 2022 at Heywood Hospital in Gardner.

Born in Gardner on January 9, 1949, she was the daughter of Frederick A. Cromp Sr. and Mae F. (Towle).

Kathy graduated Athol High School in 1967. She shared the last 12 years with her loving partner Kevin Murphy of Barre MA who shared Kathy’s passion to rescue and adopt shelter animals. Many unwanted animals found a loving forever home with Kathy.

Kathy worked for Catholic Charities and Arcadia Healthcare, Bosler Humane Society, and McElwain Shoe. She loved her Old Rock N’ Roll and Country Music.

Kathy is predeceased by her parents Frederick A. Cromp Sr. and Mae F. (Towle) and sister. Kathy is survived by her two daughters, several grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Kathy passed away surrounded by her loving partner Kevin, and her three closest grandchildren Karyn Briand, Nikki Higgins, and Derek Denison.

A private family ceremony will be held in Summer 2022 to celebrate her life.

Kathy would ask that you open your hearts and home to a shelter animal in need of a forever home. Donations can also be made to Barre Emergency & Rescue Squad or any animal shelter.
