ORANGE- Leo J. Nault Jr., 73, of Stone Road, died on October 19, 2023 at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol.
Born in Gardner on May 7, 1950, he was the son of Leo J. Sr. and Elizabeth (Canuel) Nault and grew up in Athol graduating from Athol High School in 1968.
On February 26, 1970, Leo enlisted into the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged on January 21, 1972.
Leo was married to Donna (Martin) who predeceased him on December 24, 2015.
Employed by the Rodney Hunt Company for many years, Leo retired in 2012 as an inspector. He had worked several years at the Athol Table Shop.
Leo enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He enjoyed time with the children and grandchildren, as well as gambling.
Survivors include a step son, Dean Zwelling of Greenfield; a step daughter, Toni Zwelling of New York; a step granddaughter, Errika Jarose of Barre; sisters, Rose Senecal of Orange and Mary Olsen of Ware; along with many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife, Leo was predeceased by a step daughter, Kim Southwick, a step son Howard Zwelling, and sisters, Betty Batutis and Elaine Davis.
There are no calling hours.
A celebration of life will be held at a date and time to be announced.
