Lillian G. (Cyr) Reps

ORANGE- Lillian G. (Cyr) Reps, 84, of West River Street, died on Tuesday afternoon, June 1, 2021 at Athol Hospital.

Born in Nashua, New Hampshire on September 3, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Leo N. and Gertrude Cyr and lived in Nashua until the 6th grade when the family moved to Maine.

Lillian graduated from the Thorton Academy in Saco, Maine and received her Bachelor’s Degree in foreign language from the University of New Hampshire. She later obtained her Master’s Degree in education from the University of Maine.

She was married to Erwin J. Reps in 1973.

Lillian taught at her alma mater, Thorton Academy, as well as the school district in White Plains, New York and Biddeford (Maine) Middle School.

Lillian loved dogs, especially Great Danes which she raised, and attended numerous dog shows as a spectator, breeder and as a judge. She also enjoyed tending to her gardens and her birds.

Lillian is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Reps of Atlanta, GA; a son, Paul Reps of Carmel, NY; granddaughters, Ashley Cockman and Michelle Cockman, both of North Carolina; and a nephew, Mark Cyr, of Maine.

Besides her parents, Lillian was predeceased by a son, Robert Reps, and two brothers, Paul Cyr and Robert Cyr.

There are no calling hours.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held July 7, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church, 19 Congress Street, Orange, with Fr. Shaun O’Connor officiating.
