Linda H. (Wade) Larabee Obituary

ATHOL- Linda H. (Wade) Larabee, 73, of South Main Street, died early Saturday morning, May 21, 2022 at home surrounded by loved ones.

Born in New Bedford on January 13, 1949, she was the daughter of the later Wallace B. and Leona H. (Perham) Wade and moved to Petersham at the age of 3 and grew up on a dairy farm.

Linda graduated from Ralph C. Mahar Regional School in 1967.

On May 2, 1970, Linda married George Larabee and they just celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Employed by Athol Hospital for several years, she previously had worked for McDonald’s, the L.S. Starrett Company and Applewood Home for Elders.

A member of the Grange, Linda loved horses. She also loved chocolate and purses, along with going camping, the beach and traveling to Vermont.

She had belonged to the Athol-Orange Baptist Church, and hosted Up With People and Fresh Air Camp kids. Linda will be remembered for her exceptional cooking and numerous mittens she knit.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, George Larabee of Athol; children, Melissa Larabee of Athol, Kennith Larabee and his wife, Marie, of Orange and Martha Rzasa and her husband, Charles, of Orange. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Steven Cote, Heatherlyn Clemece, Anthony Farinellea, Autumn Olander, Noah Larabee, Parker Prue, and Alex Rzasa; aunt and uncle, Diane and Marty Picard,siblings, Bruce Wade, Clyde Perkins and Robert Perkins.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, David Perkins and Charlie Perkins, along with a second set of parents, Elsa and Charlie Perkins.

There are no calling hours

There will be a celebration of life held at a later date and time.
