ATHOL- Louise J. Burgess Mangan, daughter of the late John Quincy Beville and Lousie
Wilimena, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2022 at Quabbin Valley Healthcare.
She resided with her granddaughters Erica, Alexa and Ayzia from 2005 until she
became a resident at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in June of 2020. Although
she was a long time resident of Athol, her heart belonged in Daytona
Beach Florida where she was born and raised.
Louise was a member of the Athol-Orange Baptist Church, loved the Lord and
everything Fox News. She was an avid piano player, animal lover, loved
her family and could out float anyone in any ocean, pool or lake.
Louise enjoyed bible study at the Lake’s residence, church dinners and cruising
with her friends around town. She starred in several plays through Mount
Grace Players along with taking the lead roles back in her high school.
She was predeceased by her daughter Marie Johnson and son in law Jon.
She leaves behind her son John Page and his wife Ruth of Dayton Ohio,
son Michael Burgess and wife Cassandra of West Chesterfield, daughter
Norma-Jean Talbot and husband Steven of Athol, daughter Jacqueline Britt
and her husband Chester of Sandwich, son Mark Burgess and wife Denise
of Orange and a daughter Evelyn Boudreau of Athol. Louise also leaves
behind several grandchildren, great grandchildren and her longtime
companion John Bulger.
Celebration of services will be announced at a later date in the spring.
