ROYALSTON- Marie A. Willhite, 90, of Royalston, MA went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
Marie was born in Boston, MA on May 2, 1934, the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Murphy) Coderre.
She grew up in the Back Bay and graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School for Girls in 1952, later moving to Worcester before settling in Royalston in 1966.
Marie was a devoted wife and mother and for several years ran a daycare out of her home in Royalston. Her Christianity and love for the Lord and her family were the most important parts of her life.
She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Meryl Willhite, as well as her daughter Kimberly Willhite, a granddaughter Danielle Miller and a great grandson Percy Lewis III.
She is survived by her dear sister Dorothy Mitchell of Athol; her daughters Janet Willhite of Athol, Linda Willhite of Bridgewater, Kelley Rigopoulos and her husband Steve of Pawley’s Island, SC; a son, Mark Willhite of Maine and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She also leaves behind her cherished friends and caregivers who made her wish to live out her life in her home possible- Maria Oro, Wendy Wilson, Alison Halpain, Hannah York, Avah York and Darlene Riley. Her family is eternally grateful for the love and support they provided.
There will be no calling hours.
A celebration of life will be held on January 11, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.
Interment in Jonas Alliene Cemetery in Royalston will be held at a later date.
