Marie E. (Mallet) Archibald

ATHOL- Marie E. Archibald, 89, formally of South Royalston Road, died Monday morning July 24, 2023, at Athol Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness.                                    

Born August 5, 1933, in Shippegan,  New Brunswick, Canada, she was the daughter of Marie (Roussel) and Euloge Mallet.                                                                    

On Nov 21, 1953, married Richard A Archibald Sr., and made their home in Athol, MA

Survivors include Marie Coburn and her husband Brian, of Williamstown VT, Richard Archibald and his wife Andrea of Loris, SC, and  Lisa Macomber and her husband Larry Sr., of Orange MA.  Grandchildren included Sara Wesley, Jenna Archibald, Larry Macomber Jr., Samantha and Stephanie Macomber.  Marie also leaves behind one brother Alban Mallet.  

Besides her husband, Marie was predeceased by 10 brothers and 2 sisters. 

There are no calling hours. 

A private service and internment will be in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol.
