ORANGE- Mark A. Laclair, 64, of South Main Street, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, November 9, 2023 after being stricken ill.
Born in Newport, Vermont on May 22, 1959, he was the son of Elwin R. and Joyce P. (Austin) Laclair and moved to Orange, Massachusetts at a young age where he attended local schools.
Employed by the L. S. Starrett Co., Mark retired November 1, 2023. He previously at worked at the Rodney Hunt Co. for over 25 years, as well as for Orange Foundry.
He married Katherine (Maleno) on July 7, 1990 and had been married 33 years.
Mark enjoyed playing computer games, watching comedies in TV and had taken several cruises.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Laclair of Orange; his siblings, William Laclair of Athol, Wade “Butch” Laclair and John Laclair, both of Florida, Scott Hardy of Massachusetts and Tammy Chase of North Carolina; along with many nephews and nieces and grandnephews and grandnieces.
Besides his parents, Mark was predeceased by a sister, Joanne (Lyman) Priestley and a brother, Jesse Cole.
Services will be held at a later date and time.
