TEMPLETON – Mark S. Powers, 61 years old of Templeton Ma died Saturday December, 30, 2017 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester after a brief illness.

Mark was born March 23, 1956 in Newton MA. Later moving to Sudbury, MA and then finally to Templeton, MA, which he called home for the last 20 years.

Mark was self-employed as a carpenter for most of his life and enjoyed woodworking, having made furniture and many other items for his family and friends.

He also liked boating, gardening, helping his family and spending time with his dogs.

Mark was predeceased by his parents, Bertrand and Jacqueline (Kelley) Powers and by his loving partner of 21 years, Cheryl E. Mallery.

He is survived by his late partner’s son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Danielle Bowers, and their children Isaac and Elyse. Mark also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

There are no calling hours and a private burial will be held later.
