Muriel E. (North) Hunt

ORANGE- Muriel E. (North) Hunt, 84, of East River Street, died on November 27, 2024 at Wachusett Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Gardner.

Born in Orange on February 1, 1940, she was the daughter of Arlan and Mary (Blackmer) North and the 2nd youngest of nine siblings. She graduated from Ralph C. Mahar Regional in 1958.

Muriel was married to Ralph Hunt who died in 2021.

Muriel had worked at the Orange Day Care as well as the Morgan Memorial Camp in the kitchen. She was known at work and by her neighbors as “Hunty”.

She enjoyed doing crosswords and word searches.

Muriel is survived by her children, Christeen J. Hunt of New Salem, Joseph R. Hunt of Los Angeles, CA, and Frederick W. Hunt of Athol; a granddaughter, Alexandra H. Hunt; and great grandson Landon J. Duguay.

Besides her parents and husband, Muriel was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer M. Hunt in 2014.

Calling hours will be held on December 15, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.

A celebration of life for both Muriel Hunt and Ralph Hunt will be held on January 12, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Tully City Council Club, 365 Tully Road, Orange.
