ORANGE- Nancy L. (Porter) Vorce, 93, formerly of Columbia Avenue, died on Saturday evening, September 7, 2024 at Alliance Health at Baldwinville.
Born in Orange on March 29, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Edward Porter Sr. and Doris (Anderson) Porter and attended Orange Schools and was a member of the Orange High School Class of 1948.
Nancy was married to James Vorce who predeceased her in 2000.
Nancy was a commercial insurance agent and retired in 1995.
A member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #172, she also belonged to the Gold Star Wives of America.
Nancy enjoyed family and friends, as well as going to the casinos and playing cards.
Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Piragis, of Winchester, NH; son, Jay Vorce and his wife Gail, of Orange; grandchildren, Sandy Vorce of Orange, Brian Piragis of Thornton, NH, Dave PIragis of Ayer, MA, and Jacob Vorce of Plymouth, MA; great grandchildren, Kaden Maggie and Thomas. She also leaves her close cousins Peggy Jueden of Arizona, Gary Wentworth of California and Randy Wentworth of Vermont.
Besides her parents and husband, Nancy was predeceased by a brother, Edward “Buddy””Duke” Porter in 2000.
There are no calling hours. Private services will be held at a later date.
