ERVING- Nellie L. Brewer, 59, of Mountain Road, died on Friday evening, June 2, 2023 at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center Campus in Worcester following a brief illness.
Born in Gardner on March 5, 1964, she was the daughter of James W. and Louise (Herr) Brewer and grew up in Winchendon and attended Winchendon Schools.
Nellie worked for Standard Chair in Gardner as a sander for over 30 years, retiring in 2020.
In 2013, Nellie moved to Erving to live with her partner, Tommy Savage, and she loved the farm.
Nellie loved the outdoors, especially the Lake Dennison area. She also loved caring for others, especially her mother, nephews and nieces. Her cat, Autumn, meant the world to her and enjoyed the cat’s antics.
Nellie is survived by her long time partner with whom she lived with, Tommy Savage, of Erving; her mother, Louise Brewer of Winchendon; her siblings, Betty Taft of Winchendon, James “Jim” Brewer Jr. of Winchendon, Paul Brewer and his wife, Zelina, of Illinois, Mike Brewer and his wife, Anne, of Winchendon, Jeff Brewer and his wife, Cindy, of Winchendon, and Danny Brewer of Winchendon; her aunts and uncles, Donald Herr and his wife, Jeanette, of Westminster, Linda Dembeck and her husband, Bruce, of Gardner, Cindy Parks of Winchendon and Lorrie Herr of Winchendon; and several nephews and nieces.
Nellie was predeceased by her father, James W. Brewer Sr. in March 1988, as well an uncle, David Herr, a sister in law, Lucy Brewer, and a brother in law, Larry Taft.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held on July 1, 2023 at 10 a.m. in the Erving Center Cemetery, corner of West Main St. (Route 2) and Mountain Road, Erving.
