ATHOL- Norman J. Bouchard, 80, a resident of Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol, passed away on December 22, 2020.
He was born on August 11, 1940 in Fitchburg, MA to Henry and Josephine (Taupier) Bouchard.
Norman is survived by his partner of nearly 30 years, Judith Geikie, of Athol; his children, Bob Bouchard and his wife, Terry, Kym Jarvenpaa and her husband, Opie, and Nick Bouchard and his wife, Melissa; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He also leaves behind a brother, Larry Bouchard of Fitchburg; a sister, Irene Wasserbeck of Ohio.
Norman was predeceased by his parents along with his brothers, Roger, Robert, Jules, Roland, and Armand, and sisters, Jeanette, Delores and Theresa and a brother in law, Merle Barber.
Norman moved to Athol after marrying his first wife, Veronica Amato. He worked for UTD in Athol and Red & White Movers of Fitchburg before starting his own businesses. First being Twin Star Trucking, Bouchard’s Kasual Fashions and more recently the White Cloud Restaurant.
After retiring, he and Jude enjoyed collecting and selling antiques together. He also loved to collect coins.
There are no calling hours.
A memorial service will held on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 11 a.m., at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, with Fr. Shaun O’Connor of St. Mary’s Church in Orange officiating.
Interment will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol.
