ATHOL- Patricia A. (Durham) Malcolm, 85, of Cottage Street, died peacefully in her sleep at home on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
Born in Keene, New Hampshire on October 1, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Roland Durham and Isabelle Bloom and grew up in the Keene and Westmoreland, NH area and graduated from Keene high School in 1957.
In 1958, Patricia married Peter Malcolm Jr., and enjoyed 42 years together until his death in 2000.
Patricia was a Nursing Assistant and worked at Wachusett Manor in Gardner for 20 years, retiring in 2001.
She enjoyed reading, fishing, crocheting and knitting, as well as helping others in need.
Patricia is survived by her children, Tawnya Vanderhoof of Athol, Peter Malcolm III and Suzanne Malcolm, both of Liberty, South Carolina; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
Besides her parents, Patricia was predeceased by two sons, Michael Malcolm and Matthew Malcolm, as well as two brothers, Roy Durham and James Durham.
There are no calling hours or services.
