Patricia A. (Taintor) Parker

ORANGE- Patricia A. (Taintor) Parker, 93, of East River Street, died on Monday evening, September 12, 2022 at Heywood Hospital in Gardner.

Born on March 17, 1929 in Gardner, she was the daughter of the late Loren R. and Mary E. (Conley) Taintor and grew up in Phillipston, graduating from Athol High School in 1947. She lived most of her adult life in Athol and raised her family there.

Patricia had worked for the Union Butterfield Division of Litton Industries for 23 years as an expediter. After UTD closed in Athol, she worked two years in the UTD warehouse in Springfield., and later working at S. Bent in Gardner, Baker School Supply in Orange and the Butterfield School Cafeteria.

An avid walker, Patricia also enjoyed handicrafts and embroidery.

Survivors include her children, Diane M. Blankenship of Athol, William D. MacEwen of Brookville, PA, and Brian C. MacEwen of Petersham; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and five great, great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her daughter, Sherry Fiske (2012), brothers, Edward Taintor (2006) and Loren R. Taintor Jr. (2020), and a sister, Mary Lawson (2004).

There are no calling hours.

Private services will be held in Lower Cemetery, Athol Road, Phillipston.
