Pauline T. Buckman

ATHOL- Pauline T. (Stone) Buckman, 95, of Daniel Shays Highway, Riverbend Woods, died early Tuesday morning, October 23, 2018 at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol.

Born in Orange on September 16, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Emory M.and Nina (Fisher) Stone and graduated from Athol High School in 1941.

Pauline was married to James D. Buckman for 45 years until his death on June 24, 2009.

Employed by the former Union Twist Drill in Athol, Pauline worked over 30 years as a keypunch operator, retiring in 1981.

Pauline enjoyed doing jig saw puzzles, crocheting, reading, going to the beach and in her younger years, traveling to California to visit her sister.

She was a member of the former Twisters Fun Club.

Survivors include her sons, Wayne Goulding (Maxine) of San Jose, CA, and Michael Goulding (Connie) of Deleon, FL; daughters, Jill Robinson (Scott) of Athol and Nancy Pinson of Hudson; grandchildren, Monica, Nadine, Gilbert, Gregory, Tania, Jason, Jared, Andrew, and Richard; 29 great grandchildren; 13 great, great grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.

Besides her parents and husband, Pauline was predeceased by a daughter, Holly Bauer, son in law, Richard Bauer, brothers, Marshall Stone and Henry Stone, sisters, including her twin Maxine Pettingale, Ruby Stone, Ruth Bevis, Iva Lyman, and Alice Ray.

There are no calling hours.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, with Rev. Beverly Prestwood-Taylor of the Athol Congregational Church officiating.

Interment will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol.
