Raymond L. "Bill" Wright

ORANGE- Raymond L ‘Bill’ Wright Jr, of North Main Street died Sunday morning, December 13, 2020 at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol.

Bill was born in Winchendon on May 25, 1932 the son of the late Raymond Sr. and Esther (Richmond) Wright.  He was raised in Royalston and lived in Athol before relocating to Largo, Florida where he resided for many years.

Bill was predeceased by his wife of 48 years Mary Jane (Morley) Wright of Gardner.  He is survived by his children, Candace Casciano and husband Nicholas of Newington, Connecticut, Kimberly Mastrofino and husband Robert of Westerly, Rhode Island, Kirsten Waterfield and husband Willard of Cornwall, New York, Douglas Wright and wife Dawn of Pearl River, New York and stepson, Mark Smith and wife Susan of Gardner. He also leaves his grandchildren, John Gavin III, Emily Waterfield Buttner, Mary Waterfield Kernan, Marisa Casciano, Amanda Melanson, Adam Smith and great-grandchildren, Amelia Buttner, Mason Melanson, Violet Melanson and Josiah Mitten-Smith. His grandson, Kyle Wright, predeceased him. 

Bill also leaves many dear friends who he considered family, Steve Langlois, Bruce Banks, Dick Hall, Bob Simmington, and Bill Simmington.

Bill worked for many years as a truck driver retiring from Willy Waldron in Tampa, Florida after 38 years of service. 

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
