Rebecca L. (Shufelt) Marshall

ATHOL- Rebecca L. (Shufelt) Marshall, 51, of Euclid Street, died peacefully at home on December 23, 2021 after being stricken ill.

Born in Greenfield on September 25, 1970, she was the daughter of William Shufelt and Shirley (Pratt) and grew up in Orange, graduating from Franklin County Technical School in 1990 where she had studied cosmetology.

She was married to Jeffrey Marshall.

Rebecca worked in the café at Market Basket in Athol and had previously worked for Catholic Charities for 10 years as well as the Humane Society.

Rebecca loved time with her granddaughters, as well as walks in the woods, going to the beach and was an avid animal lover.

Survivors include her children, Amanda Carey and her husband, Tommy, of Warwick, Cody Marshall and Hannah Marshall, both of Athol; her granddaughters, Taylor Jane Carey of Warwick and Rylynn Marie Gravell of Athol; her mother and step father, Shirley and Bernal Coffin of Daytona Beach, FL; her companion and best friend, Alan Allen of Athol; her aunt and uncle whom she was close to, Sylvia and Robert Carey of Shutesbury; and many friends.

Rebecca was predeceased by her father, William Shufelt Sr.(1992)  and a brother, William Shufelt Jr. (1995).

A calling hour will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022 from 11 a.m. until 12 noon at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon following the calling hour in the funeral home.

Interment in South Cemetery, Orange, will be private.
