Richard C. Rivers

MONTAGUE- Richard C. Rivers, 80, of Millers Falls Road, died on December 13, 2025.

Born in Orange on September 25, 1945, he was the son of Arthur H. and Nina F. (Smith) Rivers.

Richard enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on September 17, 1963, serving during the Vietnam War, and was a Sergeant at the time of his honorable discharge on August 10, 1967.

Richard was a self employed accountant.

He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 232 of Greenfield, the American Legion Post 81 of Greenfield, and the Marine Corps League Oak Ridge Detachment of Bernardston.

Richard leaves behind his children Michael, Gayle, Kevin and Aaron; and grandchildren, Josephine and Ethan. He was brother to James L. Rivers.

There are no calling hours or services per Richard’s request and interment in South Cemetery, Orange, will be private.

Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is assisting the family.
