ORANGE- Richard Thomas Young Jr., 48, of Orange, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2025.
Born on March 13, 1977, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Richard lived a life full of adventure, loyalty, and deep devotion to those he held dear.
Richard was a proud and loving father to his four children: Amber Smith (Kevin Smith), who is expecting Richard’s first grandson; Mercedez Young (Carson McCaffrey); Ryan Young; and Richard Young III.
He shared his life with his partner, Jaime Young, and her children, who he embraced as his own: Paige Imprescia (Zach Dustin) and their children—Jocelyn, Jameson, and Leonard; Chase Bersch; and Nickolas Bersch.
Richard is survived by his father, Richard Young Sr., and was preceded by his mother, Robin Greenberg-Young. He was a cherished brother to Rachael Young, Renee Beaton (Paul Beaton), Kristin Young, Cody Beck, and the late Timothy Young, who passed in 2013. He is also remembered by his aunt; Nita Beaudet (Dan Handt), Doreen Moll (Steven Moll), Uncle; Kenny Young and Catherine “Gammy” Hicks (Richard Hicks), the beloved grandmother of his children.
Richard had a zest for life. He loved the thrill of four-wheeling, the freedom of the open road, any opportunity to travel especially to Maine, and also his career as an electrician. But above all, he treasured time with his family and friends—especially his close companions John Washiek and Kevin Barry. Known for his warmth, humor, and ability to light up a room, Richard will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
