ORANGE- Rita M. (Richard) Cannon,, 57, of North Main Street, died Thursday morning, April 1, 2021 at Charlene Manor Extended Care in Greenfield.
Born in Fitchburg on October 8, 1963, she was the daughter of Adelard and Jeanne (Daigle) Richard and grew up in Leominster, graduating from Leominster High School in 1981.
On May 15, 1983, Rita married Robert S. Cannon and they have enjoyed over 37 years of marriage.
Rita had worked at Honey Farms, Dunkin Donuts and gas station on route 12.
A talented crafter, Rita enjoyed needle point, cross stitch and beading.
Rita is survived by her loving husband, Robert Cannon, of Orange; her mother, Jeanne Richard, of Lunenburg; brothers, Donald Richard of Gardner and David Richard and his wife, Monica, of Lunenburg; a sister, Annette Bergeron and her husband, Rich, of Leominster; a nephew, Nicholas “Nick” Bergeron; a niece, whom she was Godmother to, Lindsey Bergeron; her Godson, Brian Whitney; and a brother in law, Michael Cannon of St. Mary’s, PA.
Rita was predeceased by her father Adelard Richard, and her in laws, Robert and Clara Cannon.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday April 7th at Witty’s Funeral Home in Orange.
Interment in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon will be private.
