ORANGE- Robert A. Desrosiers, 80, of West River Street, died on Friday, July 2, 2021, at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, New Hampshire, after suffering a stroke at home recently.
Born in Orange on November 6, 1940, he was the son of Bert B. and Doris L. (Kimball) Desrosiers and grew up in Orange.
In 1973, he married Jean (Roussel) and they have enjoyed 48 years together.
Bob was a long-time employee of the Rodney Hunt Company in Orange and retired after 43 years.
During his lifetime, Bob also served as a volunteer fireman and ambulance driver for the town of Orange, was involved with the Orange Police Auxiliary, serving as president, and was a member of the CERT team.
Family meant the world to Bob and he treasured his time with the children and grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling, spoiling his animals, and was a huge country-western fan.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jean Desrosiers; his children, Diane and her husband, William, Rick and his wife, Pearl, Jennifer and her husband, Steffen, Lisa, and was predeceased by a son Kevin; eleven grandchildren, Joshua, Niki, Jenna, Michael, Richard III, John, Richard, Colten, Grayson, Alex, Emme, and Annika; fourteen great-grandchildren, Lacee, Cassidy, Bradley, Rylan, Audrey, Dominic, Rayna, Anne, Kayleigh, Kinsley, AJ, Ethan, Joshua, and Jayden; and his brother, Gary from California.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.
There are no formal services.
