Robert E. Smith

ORANGE- Robert E. Smith, 66, of Walnut Hill Road, died at home on Thursday, January 19, 2023 following an illness.

Born in Fitchburg on January 13, 1957, he grew up in the Berlin and Marlborough area.

A well known mechanic and auto body man, Robert had worked at Scotty’s Garage in Leominster for many years.

Robert moved to Orange 3 years ago from Gardner with his fiancée of 47 years, Audrey Morissette.

Robert loved motorcycle riding, car shows and enjoyed watching Motor Trend. He also was an avid reader.

Survivors include his fiancée, Audrey Morisette of Orange; his children, Shawn Morisette and his wife, Rachel, of Tampa, FL, Rhonda Cummings and her husband, Joe, of North Attleboro, and Christine Morisette- Falla and her husband, Gabrielle, of Gardner; as well as 12 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents.

There are no calling hours.

A celebration of life will be held on January 28, 2023 from 1-4 p.m. at the Morrissette residence at 150 Seventh Street, Leominster.
