WENDELL- Ronald C. “Ronnie” Grogan Sr., 75, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Father’s Day, June 20, 2021, in Wendell.
Ronald was born on December 12, 1945 in Greenfield and married his life-long love, Brenda (Powling) on September 6, 1969.
Ronnie was a truck driver, a highly skilled heavy equipment operator, skilled mechanic and fabricator and a life-long woodsman.
Ronnie was employed and worked all of his life since age 16 with B.L. Frye, Inc., Highway Supervisor in Wendell and worked at McLaughlin Paving in New Salem.
Ronnie loved spending time with his grandchildren and children, as well as fishing at the Quabbin, and going to Wells, Maine with his loving wife Brenda. He was the most generous, loving and caring man anybody could ever know, always giving a lending hand to anybody that needed it. He was a friend to everyone.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 51+ years, Brenda Grogan of Wendell; children, Ronald C. Grogan Jr. (Patricia) of Whately, Craig Grogan (EJ) of Florida, Tracey Alex of Wendell, and Kimberly Billiel (Geof) of Orange. He also leaves grandchildren whom he adored and loved so deeply, Austin, Alexis, Rachel, Makceila, Curtis, Dakota, Cooper, Steven and Jason, along with four great grandchildren.
Ronnie also leaves a sister, Doreen Grogan of Orange and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on July 13, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.
