Sally A. (Szymakowski) Swan

ATHOL- Sally A. (Szymakowski) Swan, 75, of West Royalston Road, died peacefully at home early Wednesday morning, November 24, 2021 with loved ones at her side.

Born in Gardner on September 13, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Gunhild (Sund) Szymakowski and grew up in Baldwinville and graduated from Narragansett Regional School in Templeton with the class of 1964.

On February 20, 1965, Sally married Wesley Swan and they have enjoyed over 56 years of marriage.

Sally started working at Athol Memorial Hospital on September 15, 1983 and worked her way up to Human Resources and retired after 31 years on September 9, 2014.

Sally enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises. In her younger years, she had enjoyed snowmobiling as well.

Survivors include her loving husband, Wesley Swan of Athol; her children, Kimberly Swan of Orange, Kevin Swan of Athol and Keith Swan and his wife, Krysan, of Royalston; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; sisters, Sue Davidson of Florida and Mary Schonborg of Westminster; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Sally was predeceased by her brother, Stanley Szymakowski.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 4-6 p.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.

There are no formal services or interment.
