GREENFIELD - Sheila Marie Kenney, aged 61, a resident of Greenfield, Massachusetts passed away at home on October 26, 2023.
She was born on August, 31 1962 in Athol, Massachusetts, the daughter of Idella (Dingman) Gordon and Douglas Gordon. Sheila was the eldest of fifteen brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children Nicholas Mosher, Jennifer Kenney and Jessica Kenney, granddaughter Elizabeth Mosher, sisters Andrea Harris, Anita Gordon, Tracy Bigwood, Diane Fortes, Audrey Gordon, Ravin Griffith, Oleda Newcombe, Hope Bernard, and Denice Adams, brothers Jay Gordon, Mike Gordon, Douglas Gordon and Dean Gordon, along with many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and brother Jeffrey Gordon.
Sheila attended Athol Public Schools, and graduated from both Greenfield Community College and Vermont Technical College. She was a Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Massachusetts and provided home healthcare services to the Franklin County region. She also served as a social worker for the homeless.
Throughout her life Sheila had many hobbies and interests. She studied Genealogy and was deeply interested in tracing the roots of her family. She raised Spaniels, and loved her Yorkshire Terrier Peanut. Sheila enjoyed exploring the communities of upstate New York and rural New England along with the beaches of Maine. She experimented with traditional New England cooking and loved listening to music from her childhood such as Fleetwood Mac.

A private memorial service will be held at Witty’s Funeral Home in Orange, Massachusetts before her ashes are committed to the waters off the coast of Maine.
