Sylvia D. (Wilson) Robertson

ATHOL- Sylvia D. (Wilson) Robertson, 89, of Cottage Street, died on Sunday evening, August 22, 2021 at The Highlands in Fitchburg.

Born in Independence, Kansas on September 2, 1931, she was the daughter of Leo and Blendeana (Sturgeon) Wilson and moved to Lynwood, California where she attended school. Sylvia also graduated from community college there.

In 1958, Sylvia married Herbert Robertson Jr. and they moved to Massachusetts in 1968.

Sylvia worked for Athol Shoe for many years. She had also worked for the L. S. Starrett Co. and the former Fleetwood Nursing Home in Athol.

A loving mother and grandmother, she loved her time with the grandkids. She also enjoyed walking as well as watching her soap operas.

Survivors include her children, Robert Robertson and Cynthia Dodge (Neil), both of Athol; grandchildren, Diane Harrison (William) of Warren, Cori Robertson of Las Vegas, NV, Stephanie Robertson, Andrea Robertson, Adam Dodge, and Katie Aiken (Ryan), all of Athol; Great grandchildren, Robbie Nelson, Rozlyn Nelson, Reese Nelson, Brody Perrault, Emily Harrison, Abigail Harrison, Isaac Dodge, Emma Aiken and Taylor Chamberlain; and a niece, Joyce Moore.

Besides her parents, Sylvia was predeceased by a son, William Robertson in 1978, as well as her brothers, Stanley Moore and Jack Moore.

There are no calling hours.

Services and interment in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol, will be private.
