MONTAGUE- Teresa M. (Smith) Blakie, 42, of East Main Street in the village of Millers Falls, died unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, February 15, 2022 after being stricken ill.
Born in Greenfield on December 15, 1979, she was the daughter of David P. and Veronica (Walker) Smith and grew up in Orange and attended Ralph C. Mahar Regional, later earning her GED. Teresa later studied cosmetology at a beauty school.
Teresa had worked in the office at Toyota of Portsmouth and had previously worked as a CNA at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol.
She was an avid painter and enjoyed music and her cat, “Shadow”, but most of all she was the life of the party and loved being with her family and friends.
Survivors include her mother, Veronica Buzzell, of Athol; a sister, Ryann Buzzell of Athol; a brother, Marc Smith of Scottsdale, Arizona; aunts, Sandy Spooner and Georgia Kelton; many cousins including, Angela Paul, Timmy Griffith, Kathy Griffith, Julie Stone, Kelly Walker, Leanne Walker and Meagan Walker; two nieces, Piper and Aria Smith; and many friends.
Teresa was predeceased by her father, her step father, Ronald Buzzell, and her grandparents, Helen and Wally Buzzell and George and Vera Walker.
There are no calling hours.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the funeral home to assist the family with costs.
