Craig A. Perry ORANGE- Craig A. Perry, 58, of Shingle Brook Road, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 22, 2007 in Jamaica, West Indies, while on vacation with his wife Marcia. Born on May 3, 1948 in Athol, he was a son of Ralph and Marjorie Perry and graduated from Ralph C. Mahar Regional School in Orange. In 1967, he married Marcia Huard and have enjoyed 40 years together. Craig enlisted in the United States Coast Guard on January 16, 1967, and was stationed on the US Coast Guard Cutter Edisto. He was Honorably discharged on January 15, 1971. Craig was a graduate of Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner. He had served as a lighthouse keeper on Martha's Vineyard and also had worked at the Rodney Hunt Company in Orange. Craig was currently working as an inspector and owned his own painting business. Always one to live life to the fullest, he enjoyed his family and friends as well as traveling. He loved to tell jokes and always had a story to tell. With a smile on his face, he usually had a skip to his walk and will be sadly missed by many. Survivors include his wife, Marcia, of Orange; his mother, Marjorie Perry Dirth, and her husband Almond; daughters, Liza Hurlburt and Malane Dodge, and her husband, Kevin, all of Orange; grandchildren, Kelsey Hurlburt, Madison Hurlburt, Skylar Dodge, and Logan Dodge; many nephews, nieces, and close friends. Craig was predeceased by his father in 1996 and a brother, Daryl Perry in 1993. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at 11:00AM at St. Mary's Church, 19 Congress Street, Orange. Interment will follow in South Cemetery, Orange. Calling hours will be held on Monday evening, January 29, 2007 from 6-8PM at Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Craig's memory to St. Mary's Church Endowment Fund, 19 Congress Street, Orange, MA 01364 or to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
